Lost in the Stars
... and waving down to earth

I've just done a fairly extensive friends cut. For those of you that were cut I want you to know that I wish you no ill feelings at all. Lately my life has been changing significantly and I feel that we weren't connecting anymore (and haven't been for a while). I wish you all the absolute best in the future.

I love it when all of the little things in life are so amazing. Nothing of particular note has happened over the past couple of days, but I've been in such a great mood. Instead of trying (and failing) to explain things in paragraph form I'll share my bliss list:
★ Fresh Flowers | Last weekend a lady at one of the markets I go to for weekly shopping gave me a couple of carnations that she had left over from a Mother's Day bouquet. They've started to bloom and even though there are only two blossoms my desk area is filled with such a lovely scent.
☆ Angels and Demons | Thanks to a radio station's rewards program mom and I were able to get passes to an advances screening of Angels and Demons on Wednesday (which was also mom's birthday). I haven't read the book so I don't have a point of reference from that standpoint, but I loved it. It was both interesting and well acted. I'm so glad that I went because I was considering staying home because I wasn't feeling well.
★ Choxie Chocolate | While at Target looking for some gifts for some of mom's friends we happened to be in the chocolate aisle when I spotted chocolate with sea salt. I've been looking for a local store that carries some version of that for months (since buying it online is expensive). It's even more delicious than I imagined it being.
☆ Ace of Cakes | The season finale was last Saturday (they made the cake for Lost's 100th episode and got to hang out with the cast in Hawaii) and it was awesome. I've also managed to pick up the first two seasons on DVD and I've been having a blast watching them all again. This is one series I will never get tired of.
★ Aria | I can never not smile when I watch this anime or read this manga. It's definitely my top favorite. I've been reading through the manga this week and I'm making it a new nighttime ritual to watch an episode before bed. It doesn't matter what kind of day I'm having, this series always lifts my spirits.
☆ Papercraft | After seeing all of the cute Hetalia ones going around I've been wanting to try one for myself (but I'm out of printer ink). I made my first two in a long while last night. One in black and while and another thanks to a successful experiment with scrapbook papers. I have photos that I'll post over the weekend once I get them off of the camera.
★ K-ON! | I just spent a good part of my evening getting caught up with this series. It's definitely a favorite from this season so far. I don't know what it is about slice of life shows that I'm drawn to so much, but it never fails. This is another show that always leaves me with a smile on my face. The Christmas episode was so cute!
I think I'll start doing lists like these more often, I like remembering all of the things that are making me happy. It's hard to stay down when I remember all of the wonderful things that happen everyday. On that note, I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!
